Mick McCarthy has challenged his players to get back to the kind of defensive fortitude that has seen them get to just two games away from a play off spot.
'Although I had a whinge and a growl over us not being awarded a penalty when Michael Kightly was through, we defended the corner badly for Birmingham's equaliser and got punished when we tried to play them offside for the winner.' said the gaffer.
'We generally defended well enough in the game but made too many errors?..only the little things maybe, but they cost us.'
If those things end up denying Wolves a place in the play off shake up, then just how costly they end up being won't be quantified as quite so little.
