'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Don Sitting On Defence

Wolves favourite Don Goodman believes that neither team has the edge going into the biggest black country derby in living memory, and thinks how Wolves deal with the threat of Albions pacey attack will hold the key to the play off semi final.

"I think who wins the play-off game really could be down to flip of a coin," he told the E&S. "It`s that tight and there are no clear favourites.

"And one of the key issues will be how Wolves defend and whether they can cope with the pace and power of Albion`s attack.

"If they can I think that will give them an excellent chance.'

Albion may have a potent strike force that many teams look at with envy, but shining against Barnsley reserves being comparible to playing in a derby?

And there is the small matter of Wolves own attacking line up for Albion to consider before counting their Throstles.

Michael McIndoe is currently ranked the 3rd most effective midfielder, Seyi George Olofinjana is ranked a gnats breadth behind Jason Koumas, and ahead of Jonathan Greening.

Keogh, Bothroyd and Ward are all capable of providing that xtra bit of magic, and if they arent enough to strike fear in defenders, there's Michael Kightly to consider when they look down the team sheet.

It's not too far fetched to believe that it's Tony Mowbray, not Mick McCarthy who should be eyeing the opposition's danger men, not the other way round.

It will be a close call. WBA could have the edge having been there recently.
