Commons Assault?

Following on from the Jobi McAnuff rumour, comes the news Mick McCarthy may try and tempt Forest midfielder Kris Commons away from the City Ground.

Having visited the Forest stadium toward the end of last season to see the youngster in action, McCarthy's interest in Commons has been known for some time, but he faces stiff opposition for his signature.

Steve Bruce is a long term admirer, as is Steve Cotterill, and Stoke, Palace and Preston have all shown an interest in the out of contract 23 year old who is stalling on signing a new 3 year deal.
