Today Wolves release their new change kit for the season 2007-2008.
It is navy blue with Wolves 'old gold' and white trim and was the preferred choice of both Mick McCarthy and the Fans Parliament earlier this year, when they were asked to assist in the design and selection
process.
I personally think it is far too wishy washy, and would have preferred to see another white kit to go along with our lovely golden black home kit. (I also realise many people disagree - such as my mum - that the white kit just isn't Wolves).
One thing I am disappointed about is that a couple of seasons ago, supporters had the choice of 4 shirts designs, and voted on their favourite. This way, allowed every supporter of the club to have their
say on the future of the Wolves. By allowing the Fans Parliament and Merlin to choose, I feel their is not enough freedom of choice (If there is such a thing! =P), and because of this, has caused disappointment, for me at least, of the new kit choice. I love getting the new shirt every season, but the last bluey kit we had made everybody look 'men loving' and I'm not really up for that again sadly.
I hope others disagree and love the new kit, but I can't really see it happening.
On another note, and talking about the future, I am also quite shocked Wolves have not decided to lower their ticket prices for the up and coming season. Having seen crowds of around 18,000 for most of last, and a dire atmosphere for some of the games, I really would have thought the board would have lowered prices by a couple of quid, to try and make the Mol the fortress we talk about. By lowering by £2 or £3, pays for your programme at least, or a 'Big Breakfast' at the Asda, to warm you up before a home game against the likes of Plymouth or Hull City, where you know it will be a struggle... somehow, and lowers your cost of the day by tenner if 3 of you go. I'm also sure, by telling people you are lowering tickets, many more fans, or neutrals would come and support the lads, especially on the warmer days at least.
I hope you can try and relate to what I have said. If not, I'm sorry for wasting a couple of minutes of your time =P
