Foxes Snatch Bambi From Wolves
Panic filled fears of redundancy swept through the Wolves physiotherapy team this morning when confronted by the news that one of their more frequent visitors had been snapped up by Milan Mandic's Leicester City.
The Foxes have swooped to capture the services of out of contract Wolves striker Carl Cort under the Bosman Ruling.
Having missed most of the last season and a half through recurring injury problems the loss isn't likely to come as too much of a blow to Mick McCarthy's plans, but does represent cutting the final ties with the team that failed to stay in The Premiership, and a vast reduction in the wage bill.
On paper, Cort's goals to games ratio for Wanderers was impressive, but with long periods on the sidelines his legacy is likely to be a familiar tale of high wages, and unfulfilled potential.
If fit, there's no doubt Cort can score at Championship level, but best not to play him out wide. It's been tried. It doesn't work.
