Williams : Vio Needs Games

Gary Williams believes Vio Ganea needs to move clubs, or slip down the pecking order at Wolves, and potentially end his career.

'He had a spell when he scored five goals in eight matches but then he's hardly been playing since.' he said.

A prolonged spell on the bench isn't doing 33 year old Vio any favours, and Williams knows his client needs a long spell in the first team to stay sharp and on top of his game.

'Wolves are actively seeking another striker and though Vio is settled at the club he may have to move in order to play regularly,' said Williams

'Coventry and Cardiff have shown an interest and Leeds were having a look.

'The Cardiff situation depends on whether Cameron Jerome moves on, because the problem for Vio here is that he's not had enough games.'

Many would be sad to see Vio go. There is a belief that Wolves have never really seen the best of Ganea, one shared at Vital Wolves.

A bit part in The Premiership followed by a year out injured have restricted the Romanian to a mere twenty starting line ups, with another 17 coming on from the bench.

The man with a one in two career stike rate will be missed for his passion, his enthusiasm, and his love for his adopted club.

But as Glenn Hoddle looks to rebuild, his passing may now be an inevitability. Leaving the number 9 shirt vacant should one of Glenn's shopping trips bear fruit
