'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clingan In Demand

Doncaster Rovers look set to hand a transfer lifeline to Sammy Clingan.

The Northern Ireland U21 international, who played for the reserves last night recently saw his proposed move to Nottingham Forest collapse after failing to agree personal terms, leaving the player distraught.

But although Rovers Manager Dave Penney says he is prepared to match any fee, he doesn’t believe his offer will fare any better than Gary Megson’s.

'We're keeping an eye on the situation but I'm not too hopeful, if Forest can't reach an agreement with him I'm doubtful we can.' Said Penney.
