Moxey Closing On Franek ?

Contrary to comments by Manager Glenn Hoddle, Jez Moxey believes Wolves to be very close to signing a new striker.

'We are working very hard on a deal and I think we are getting very very close,' said Moxey.

'We are waiting for an answer, the phone could ring at any time.'

With no mention of who that might be, many players could be in the frame. But Tomasz Frankowski seems to be the clear favourite

So is it to be a case of out with the old in with the new? Can Jez Moxey get his man?

Wolves fans are in need of a lift after the news Kenny Miller has signed a pre contract with Celtic, and signing Frankowski could do that.

But failiure to sign anyone at all may be seen as a negligence of duty by fans feeling unhappy at Millers exit.

And the concequence to the club of a disafected following, who feel let down by the powers that be, could have ramifications that will be felt for many, many years.
