Is Today The Day Sharps On His Way?

Unfortunately, it looks as if Billy Sharp will today be unveiled as a Sheffield United player. The dream player seemed by many wolves fans, including myself, looks set to sign for Championship rivals, Sheffield United, the team who lost 3-0 to us at Cardiff =D.

If this is the case, and Sharp does decide to sign for United, maybe it is for the best. He has no experience at Championship level, and his signing would have gone against boss McCarthy`s plans of bringing in young hungry wolves for a reasonable price. No doubt about it, Sharp is young and hungry, and also bound to score 20+ this season, but he is definitely A LOT OF MONEY.

Are we still after Eastwood, or are we being priced out of him also?

Why not head our scouts to Nigeria and grab a 7ft powerhouse with speed and heading ability?

A player similar to Kanu really?

Whatever the outcome - any player who tries his hardest, gives every game his all, and shows his love for the club, is welcome in my Wolves team. Andy Keogh - a perfect example.

Like the idea of a seven foot powerhouse but would question the source , understand that Chelsea stand to lose a number of key players each year to the African Nations Cup and usually at a critical part of the UK season.

Oh lets be honest - were not going to get a legendery World Class player are we.... were going to get a reasonably good lad - and as long as he has a good work ethic - bring him on! Take the scouts to Africa!

He's off elsewhere I'm afraid. I'll be just as happy if Mick can unearth another lower league diamond, and theres strill the chance of us picking up a Premiership loan player. I am remarkably calm for this time of year

Ashame you guna miss out think Micks done a great job in his 1st year in charge.I think you might win the league if you bring in a few more players.

If the Billy Sharp deal is "done and dusted" why isnt it all over the Sheffield Utd site ????
purplepault69
It's far from done and dusted, according to S ****horpe no official bid has been made as yet It's developed into a bit of a farce with S ****horpe's valuation of Sharp's potential rising in direct proportion to the amount of column inches the sale is getting
