With contradictory statements appearing across the media regarding the signing of 23 year old Southend striker Freddy Eastwood, Wolves CEO Jez Moxey has spoken out to quell any fears that the deal may be in jeopardy.
Following yesterday's announcement, Jez Moxey had this to say on the clubs official site
'I would not have made the public statement that I made unless it was true and accurate.
'I am genuinely thrilled with this deal because not only is it a good bit of business, but I also think we are getting a player who can be an absolute star for Wolverhampton Wanderers.'
The statement goes on to say that Eastwood will be unveiled tomorrow at a press conference.
With a policy of silence until transfers are completely in the bag, it is hard to imagine that the CEO would have got this one wrong and spoken out whilst there was any doubt over the status of the deal.
But there are still those who will wait until he is unveiled at Molineux to believe that Eastwood has joined the pack.
With the funeral of Wolves legend Derek Dougan being held today they will have to wait another 24 hours to see what could be the latest succesor to The Doog's number nine shirt and goalscoring hero status.
