A Farewell To A Legend

Hundreds of Wolves fans joined Derek Dougan's family and friends in bidding farewell to the man affectionately known as The Doog yesterday.

Fans lined up outside Molineux to pay their final respects and applauded as the funeral cortege passed the stadium where he achieved legendary status with 400 attending the service, some arriving as early as 10.30am to ensure admittance

A host of former players from Wolves as well as current manager Mick McCarthy were joined by greats such as Pat Jennings and Denis Law, Sammy Nelson, Johnny Giles, Billy Bingham and Martin O'Neill to mourn the passing of one of the games true characters.

Wolves till the end, The Doog went to his final resting place in a coffin bearing a wolfs head, and in club colours,

Rest In Peace Derek.

Thanks for the goals, the smiles, and the memories.
