'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fired Up And Ready To Go

Wolves injury plagued 'keeper Matt Murray is well on track to feature in the clubs pre season fixtures, with the Irisj tour his latest target.

Murray, who was in inspired form until a training ground fall saw him fracture a shoulder on the eve Wolves play off semi final matches last season has been given the green light to resume training.

But his surgeon has warned a return against Grays Athletic this weekend would be a match too early.

'The consultant is happy but wants me to wait another couple of weeks before risking landing heavily in a game,' he told the clubs official site

'But I'm doing everything the other keepers are in training and I'm looking at the Ireland trip to get back playing.'

Matt may well find that an instant return to the first team is not 100% assured though, with Wayne Hennessey, dubbed ' The Record Breaker' by manager Mick McCarthy proving himself more than a capable replacement in the 2 games against Albion.

While there are still those that would point to Matt's kicking as a major flaw in his game, there are few other areas where he can be said to be lacking.

And his return to full fitness will be yet another piece of good news as Wolves approach the start of a new season, fired up and ready to go.
