Molineux Ambition Not Enough?

In his first interview since leaving them, Michael McIndoe has given possibly the most bizzare reason for his leaving Wolves

He told the BCFC official site

'I'm here because Bristol City are showing big ambition and also because I worked with the manager before.'

So Wolves, with Morgan's Millions, a new highly rated striker, a storming season behind them and a former World Cup manager at the helm aren't?

C'mon Michael, who are you trying to kid.

Obviously he's not going to go into the finer details of his hasty exit from the club that offered him the chance to resurrect his career yet.

But please, credit your former fans with a little more intelligence than to expect us to believe that the reason you left was because Bristol City are showing more ambition than Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ridiculous reason. No one will be buying that
Wolfette
I don't believe what he's said! But it is a coup for Bristol

Bye Bye ---- WW lacking ambition ?? ,think there is more to it than that incorrect statement , just as well he has gone as we only want committed players.

If he did say that then he’s made himself look foolish. I think four clubs in twelve months says more about the player than anything else. If he isn’t guaranteed a start at Bristol I would imagine club number five would soon materialise. Maybe the rumours regarding his penchant for ‘the strong waters’ hold some substance.

Rumours of "strong waters" ?? , might be a little ironic but his new Bristol shirt shows the sponsors as BLACKTHORN !!!!!!!!

I can't see how after quitting one club that has aready set it's stall out and set it's ambitions quite clearly, to achieve A Premiership place and then maintain it he can say the reason he is at Bristol because they are showing big ambition and not expect that to be questioned. You don't trade a high performance sports car for a Golf on the basis that the golf has good acceleration. It may have, but if it's not better than what you had, it's not the reason you made the swap. Some people have problems appreciating that apparently.

Now he's just being stupid. He now reckons he needs to be moving up to the next level to advance his career. Obviously not possible with a team that should be challenging for automatic promotion this season. The mind boggles
Wolfie
This has got to be related to losing his place at the end of last season combined with the arrival of Matty Jarvis. Maybe he is right to move if he wants the best chance to have a regular first team place?
astraltrader
maybe so but that doesn't give him the right to bad mouth WWFC. If that is the reason why not just say "I wanted guaranteed first-team football" rather than come out with this piffle?
