'If It's Football, It's Vital'

So Long Sammy

Late this afternoon, Samy Clingan completed his move to Nottingham Forest.

The Northern Irish U21 has signed a two and a half year deal with Gary Megson's side.

The 22 year old has spent this season on Chesterfield who were monitoring the situation closely for any last minute hitches.

But Sammy has finally put pen to paper on a deal that will keeep him at The City Ground until the end of the 2007-8 season.

Despite captaining the Wolves reserves, and completing pre season with the main body of the squad Sammy has never made an impact on the first team since progressing form the Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy.

Good luck for the future Sammy and in helping Forest gain Promotion.
