Tomasz Frankowski has finally signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Polish star put pen to paper today after passing a medical, on a two and a half year deal that wil keep him at Molineux until 2008.
The transfer has taken almost a month to arrange, but all Jez Moxey's efforts have now finally been rewarded with the signature of the former Elche goal machine.
Frankowski has attracted attention from several other top English clubs, but Wolves have always been the frontrunner to secure the services of the Segunda Liga side's top scorer.
The news will surely come as music to Wolves fans ears, some of whom had feared the club's apparent silence on transfers equated to innactivity.
Some had doubted the clubs true intentions and wether they were actually trying to make any new signings.
Others simply believed that nothing would happen.
But in Franek, Jez Moxey and Glenn Hoddle haven't just made a signing. They have secured the services of a proven top class goalscorer.
Just as they always said they would.
Just as Jez Moxey's done before.
Faith is a commodity in short supply in some sections of the Molineux faithful. After years of underachievment they have come to expect the worst, and have sometimes been proven right.
But the signing of Frankowski is another feather in the cap for the man some fans point the finger at whenever anything threatens to go wrong.
Bringing in a striker of Frankowski's credentials fires out a warning to the sides above them in The Championship.
Wolves are finally ready to bare their teeth and mount a serious attack on promotion to the promised land.
Vital Wolves extends its warmest greetings to Franek and looks forward to watching your goals.
