Carling Cup 2nd Round Draw Tonight

The second round Carling Cup draw will take place tonight.

The 36 remaining teams from the Football League clubs following the first round will be joined by twelve Premier League clubs (those not in the Uefa or Champions League).

Ties will be played the week beginning August 27.

The draw is live on Sky Sports after the Rotherham United v Sheffield Wednesday match.

Seeded Teams:

Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Burnley, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Coventry City, Derby County, Fulham, Leicester City, Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, Reading, Sheffield United, Sunderland, Watford, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United, Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Barnsley/ Sheffield Wednesday.

Non-seeded Teams:

Barnsley/Rotherham United*, Blackpool, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Carlisle United, Doncaster Rovers, Hartlepool United, Hereford United, Hull City, Leeds United, Leyton Orient, Luton Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Morecambe, Northampton Town, Nottingham Forest, Oldham Athletic, Peterborough United, Rochdale, Shrewsbury Town, Southend United, Stockport County, Swansea City and Wrexham.

If Sheffield Wednesday win they will be a seeded club, if they lose then Barnsley will be seeded.

A home draw is whet teams want and when you get a draw like this you start to think 3rd round here we come, but dont right them off, a surprise could be on the cards!!
