Franek Nightmare To Conclude?

Wolves chairman Jez Moxey has hinted that there may yet be a resolution to the subject of Tomasz Frankowski's future before the end of the current transfer window next week.

It marks the first time Moxey has indicated there may be current interest in the Polish striker whose Molineux career effectively ended with the departure of Glenn Hoddle.

"There are still possibilities that we will be able to find a solution to Tomasz`s situation' he told the E&S

'There is interest from abroad which we hope will lead to a conclusion to satisfy everyone.

The stumbling block to any potential transfer is a knee injury Franek picked up pre season, the type that has been responsible for all of his extended periods of absence throughout his career.

Should a deal be struck it will draw a line under a highly disapointing period in Frankowski's otherwise succesful career, and one he will be eager to forget.

Should no deal be forthcoming, Franek will be left to work on his fitness, and put himself in the shop window come January.

With no desire within the club to pay off his remaning contract, the prospect of ending his career in limbo still hangs over the player brought to the club for the sole purpose of saving Glenn Hoddle's reputation.

Perhaps failure in that would elude more than just Frankowski.
