'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fantasy Football Newsletter #3

This week has brought with it the end of August, and therefore the first Vital Fantasy Football prize is to be awarded! Congratulations to Neil Madigan (Isondil) of Plymouth who ends the month on an excellent score of 135! £250 will be making it's way to you shortly!

This week's action finally saw the usual big names in the English Premier league all securing wins (although some of them only just).

Manchester United overcame a stout performance from Spurs with young wonder-kid Nani providing a scintillating strike from outside the area to secure Sir Fergie's first win of the season.

Arsenal beat Manchester City even though Kasper Schmeichel managed to keep out a Van Persie penalty (which would have upset a huge number of Vital managers), the Gunners were still too strong for City. A good run from Fabregas allowed him to slot a powerful drive past Schmeichel's near post - the first goal to go past the young Dane.

Chelsea beat Portsmouth 1-0, Lampard getting the better of David James as his shot managed to creep underneath the goalkeeper. This goal ended Portsmouth's unbeaten run this season, and although they put up a good fight they just could not find that crucial break through.

Liverpool came out all guns blazing against Sunderland, lofting long balls forward and attacking all game. Mohamed Sissoko and Andriy Voronin both netted their first premiership goals, but apart from some really good work from the Sunderland goalkeeper, the score would have been much higher than 2-0.

There are still loads of prizes to be won, so don't forget that updates to teams will be available from the 4th of September, so be sure to tune your teams and remember that it is never too late to win with Vital Fantasy Football (Click here to register), so get your friends to enter as soon as possible to stand a greater chance of winning some more great prizes!

All the best of luck to all the players!
