Goals Make Wolves Prizes

There arent many people left still publicly doubting Tomasz Frankowski goalscoring credentials.

Certainly not anyone that's seen the Franek Franek Lowca Bramek video, a compilation of 100 Frankowski goals in his native Poland.

But just in case anyone needed further convincing....

Whilst at Elche, Franek played in 14 games. His last, a second half sub's appearance, was against Valladolid last weekend.

But in total, he only spent 996 minutes on the pitch, which equates to only 11 whole games allowing for injury time.

In those minutes he scored 8 goals.

That's a goal every 2 hours he played.

To put that in perspective, Wolves top scorer Carl Cort has scored 9 in 16. It has taken Ade Akinbye 33 games to score 14. Cameron Jerome has scored 14 in 32.

The only Championship striker who comes close to Frankowski's Spanish record is Dave Kitson. And look where Reading currently lie.

If he picks up where he left off, who knows where Wolves season may go.

Though I wouldn't bet on it being a downward direction

Today, Glenn Hoddle revealed Franek has a slight ankle injury. So its by no means certain he will play a part against Manchester United.

But he didn't score in his last game for Elche.

So if he plays, could Sunday continue his run?

if he receives good passes, he will score. If u have good midfielders then its the matter of time. Maybe not in first match, but it will happen soon, Cheers :)
