In certain matches within the weekend's fixtures, it was a true David vs Goliath story. However, in others Goliath squashed David, and then jumped unmercifully up and down - six times.

Aston Villa are the talk of the weekend after upsetting Chelsea's unbeaten run. A well placed corner from Gareth Barry resulted in a surprise goal from new signing Zat Knight. Even though Chelsea had the most possession, their attacking was blunted by a stubborn Villa defence and with just two minutes to go, Agbonlahor managed to connect Young's cross into the back of the Chelsea net to seal victory for Villa.

A popular pick for Vital Fantasy Football is Fernando Torres who made many managers happy as he had his say twice in the 6-0 drubbing that Liverpool handed to Derby. Xabi Alonso also managed to get two goals - his first a free kick from 45 yards out, which opened the floodgates for Liverpool. Young Dutch prospect Ryan Babel slotted one home and last week's goal scorer Andrei Voronin managed to net one as well.

Spurs made the trip to Craven Cottage this weekend and looked really good to start off with. Berbatov scored a scintillating goal and young Gareth Bale's performance was excellent, highlighted by his first goal of the season. Fulham fought back and at 3-1 down there did not seem to be much hope. Until the 77th minute when Smertin managed to hit a shot which deflected over Robinson's head and gave the Cottagers an inkling of hope. After 90 minutes were up, Fulham were slightly desperate and launched a final attack through a massive throw in to the box, a half clearance found it's way over Diomansy Kamara's head. He acrobatically flew himself into the air and lobbed an astounding overhead kick over Robinson to secure a point for Fulham.

Just as the transfer window has come to an end, the Vital Fantasy Football transfer window opens up, and will remain open until the end of the season! Transfers are available from the 4th of September, so any changes that need to be made to your teams can now be done. When thinking of transfers there are certain things to be remembered from the weekend's games, like Carragher and Gerrard watching Liverpool in the stands and Drogba limping off the field for Chelsea. Check the home page for the top scoring players for August!

With the game even more interesting now, be sure to challenge your mates in the mini-leagues and show them how much better you are at choosing a team than they are. Who knows, they may end up winning a prize and you can demand a share of it for the invite!
