Craddock Comeback

Mick McCarthy has reacted to his current defensive crisis by recalling Jody Craddock from his loan to Stoke City.

The manager activated a 24 hour recall clause in the deal after watching his side slump to their third defeat of the season. Speaking to the clubs official site he said

'The gaffer (McCarthy) called me this morning and said he wanted me to come back,'

'Obviously I've been keeping track of what's been going on at Molineux. It's my club, I've been here for five years and I'll be pleased to come back and do what I can to help the team.'

With McCarthy having already stated that a recall would only occur if Craddock was needed to play, it looks highly likely that he will step straight into the fray against Norwich on Saturday. Welcome back to the pack Jody.
