Delayed Debut For Wolves New Boy

Any hopes Wolves fans had of seeing an all new strike partnership against Leicester City on Saturday have been dashed by the news Jeremie Aliadiere won’t be making his debut for another couple of games.

But any fears that this is down to injury have been allayed by CEO Jez Moxey.

The delay is down to the length of the allowed loan period. The 20 year old signed just before the midnight deadline on Tuesday, and an instant introduction would make him ineligible for the play-offs, should Wolves get there.

So the away tie with Burnley on St Valentines day is the earliest fans can expect to see him in action.

“We have only got Jeremie for 93 days and we decided we wanted to make sure he was available for the end of season play-offs. “ Jez Moxey told the clubs official site.

“People might say why not play him now so that he helps us get to the play offs but we’ve already signed Tomasz Frankowski to help us do that.” He added

Aliadiere is due to join up with the squad for training this week. When he does play, if he shows the same devastating form as when he played against Wolves he will be an instant hit with fans and club officials alike.
