Kightly Blow

Wolves fans perhaps looking for some Christmas cheer following a paltry one point from the last nine were dealt a blow yesterday with the revelation that young star Michael Kighty looks set to spend at least another two weeks on the sidelines.

"Kites might be another couple of weeks yet," McCarthy told the E & S, adding

"We do miss a lot with him being out because he drags the ball up the field and takes people on. Perhaps we haven`t got that but at the moment but against QPR we created the chances - we just couldn`t finish them."

Kites absence has only served to underline what we all knew already. The side would be much poorer without him.

No one player makes a side, but Kites is an exceptional talent, and when he's not there, Wolves lose a massive part of their attacking game.

THe snarl and the bite has less conviction, and the agility in attack seems not so supple.

Get better soon Kites, and bring back the black country bite.
