Wolves Trial Latvian

Latvian hitman Ģirts Karlsons has arrived at Molineux on trial, with a mind to a permanent move from FHK Liepājas Metalurgs.

The 6 foot 2, 26 year old striker has scored 4 in 16 internationals for his country and was a target for promotion rivals Bristol City in the summer of 2007.

He is currently out of contract and fits the bill of a strong target man that Wolves are currently lacking, and boasts an impressive goalscoring record of 63 goals in 153 club appearances.

Could this be Mick McCarthy's goalscoring lifesaver?
