SEB Signs On

Having triggered a 'get out' clause in his Plymouth Argyle contract Wolves have signed Sylvan Ebanks-Blake from for £1.5 million.

The news comes hot on the heels of the signing of David Edwards from Luton and flies in the face of accusations of 'the usual last minute scramble' starting to permeate of late.

The deeply upset Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock said: "We did not want Sylvan to leave, and we would have offered him the best contract that has ever been offered to a Plymouth Argyle player to try to persuade him to stay.

"However, he was so determined to join Wolves that he would not even discuss a new deal with us. For me, that is disappointing."

Another fighter joins the cause.

His profile from the Argyle official site starts :

'EBANKS-BLAKE is an aggressive striker who plays the game to score goals. He is quick, powerful, determined and a constant threat in the opposition penalty box.'

Sound like anyone we know?
