Kightly Setback

Wolves talisman Michael Kightly has suffered a crushing setback in his bid to regain full fitness.

The England U212 star was forced to limp out of training yesterday and will now miss Saturdays key match with Crystal Palace.

Speaking to the clubs official site, manager Mick McCarthy said

'Kights felt his ankle yesterday and won't be involved tomorrow.

'It's one of those injuries where rest is the best cure.

'But that frustrates Michael. Telling someone who is naturally full of bounce and vigour to do nothing is difficult.

'We all felt for him yesterday. He was very upset.'

Kightly's absence has coincided with Wolves suffering their worst patch of form since the arrival of Mick McCarthy.

His thirty minute match winning cameo against Cambridge United in the FA Cup emphasised exactly what he brings to the team.

His loss will comew as a bitter blow for McCarthy, looking to get Wolves promotion push, and the fans, back on track.
