Edwards Excels

New-boy Dave Edwards made a great start to his Wolverhampton Wanderers career after helping himself to one of the top 10 individual match scores of the week in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship, over the weekend.

The former Luton man capped an impressive debut performance with a goal and 32 points to open his Actim account for the season.

He was one of a trio of Mick McCarthy`s men to take their place in the top 10 performances of the week with midfielder Matt Jarvis (34 points) and striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (33 points) also impressing.

Wolves have four players in the current top 100, Hennessey the second-highest rated keeper in the division this season.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Wolves players are:

Wayne Hennessey
Ranking 19th
Position Ranking 2nd Ranked Goalkeeper
Index Score 350

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake
Ranking 22nd
Position Ranking 8th Ranked Striker
Index Score 345

Kevin Foley
Ranking 44th
Position Ranking 9th Ranked Defender
Index Score 313

Michael Kightly
Ranking 74th
Position Ranking 20th Ranked Midfielder
Index Score 286

Karl Henry
Ranking 103rd

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
