Well the run upto New year.
The poll on the front page ask if we will better our tally of 18 points that we had at new year last year.
So we have 7 now, where are the points going to come from

1. Wolverhampton v Wigan
2. Everton v Wolverhampton
3. Chelsea v Wolverhampton
4. Wolverhampton v Sunderland
5. Man Utd v Wolverhampton
6. Wolverhampton v Stoke
7. Wolverhampton v Norwich
8. Arsenal v Wolverhampton
9. Bolton v Wolverhampton

your thoughts on where we can get 12 points to better last season?

Well just totted them up, and that's 12 points. (pure luck)
The home games are all winable games IMO and we could pick up an away win.
We shall have to see

Considering I thought I was one of the more optimistic posters, its surprising that I'm the only one thinking we will take nothing from the trips to Everton and Chelsea.

You look at the top 4 and although they all have goals in them they all have leaky defences. We seem to have turned to the Brazil school of football in England. put 10 strikers out and score more than the opposition. Chelsea certainly leak goals and can be held if you get at them. Warnock put it in a nutshell when he said that you might aswell go down fighting as opposed to lose trying to hold them off. And lets face it....we don't do "holding off" very well. Attack Attack Attack !!!!!! None of these Teams are infalable as we proved last season. I'd rather get tanked by Chelsea but take 3 points from both Bolton and Everton but I can't always have what I want.

RM that is a very good philosophy mate, Attack attack attack. Neil Warnock did sum it up very well, and QPR were unlucky not to get anything from their game at Man city!
I hope that you do get what you want mate. 6 points from two away games would be great!!

We have to keep the ball away from our defence, that's for sure. Ward is now being exposed, as Stearman had been in previous matches. Both Swansea and Wigan skinned us in the LB position, in the same way that Liverpool,QPR and Newcastle did us down our right side. I still don't think Johnson looks any better than Berra, either.

Johnson isn't the player that we were lead to believe he was!
I think that the fact that the full backs are getting exposed is that they aen't getting the cover from the midfield!
Berra is becoming a better player, just can't wait fro Zubar to get back!

I was talking more of their lack of ability being exposed,Sparkes.Neither of them are full backs, after all. Johnson can't be as good as he was made out to be and look as bad as he does.

Thats very true A4D. But if they are getting exposed then they will need some cover! And the wingers just aren't providing that!
