Here's some more interesting stats: Wolves stats: Pass accuracy: 231/349 (66%) Top passer: Henry 80% pass completion Most shots: O'Hara (3) Hunt (3) Interesting that HENRY gets such a high %. I have always said we miss him when he doesn't play. Thoughts????

Rustmonkey do you think this is becaise he nas been relieved of the captains armband and can now do what hes supposed to do or is it he could be worried about his position in the side Mick keeps on saying hes not after anyone else or is this just a smoke screen as he has already spoken to Hitzlsperger who could play in Henrys position. Having said all that what a great start to the season and hopefully if we get a couple more in it could be a good season beat the teams around us and we should be safe.

I have slated Karl Henry but I call it as I see it and today I thought he did a fantastic job. 8 no problem. He put his foot in when needed, he did not resort to his silly tackling and his passing was impressive. Fair play- celebrated with a dinner in Little Italy and got fairly sloshed. Today... it was a good day.

I have always felt henry gave us something in midfield that we lacked when he wasn't there. He will get stuck in and he does hold his line to allow more attacking CM's and wingers to get forward. Losing the armband will probably definately help him. Now as you say Kia...he can concentrate on his job and not on everyone elses. Some ppl are born to lead, some not. RJ is a born leader. I watched him constantly talking to his players yesterday and he even went on one of those maizey little runs that Lescott used to go on at times. I think Henry is a real under rated player in our side and I know WARD is. That guy bleeds Gold & Black. His biggest problem is having the Utility player tag. On the whole I thought we looked good and even berra looked more comfortable. UTW

Why is such a shock , Stephen Ward was immense yesterday and not 1 of you has praised him , Some lads just cant get praise , just like MM , Henry without the armband was awsome , Doyle was very average but worked hard as normal , Jarvis was woeful besides the cross and pen , Hunt , O'Hara , Henry , WARD , Fletcher and of course RJ had cracking performances , yes its 1 game but you will all say oh we need a left back or him or her blah blah blah , Still got Zubes and Guiedioura to come back and a couple weeks to snip a loan player in somewhere , THE FUTURES BRIGHT , and we have done this not spending a fortune , Ohhh and remember this day as MM went away to our huge bogey side and played 4-4-2 , just incase down the line you wanna question his tactics , MM is a legend and does this club proud as do all the players , WANDERERS TIL I DIE !!!

And Kia and the rest of you , armband or not , you all said he wasn't good enough , you cant just question it now because he hasn't got the armband , he was playing great til he got injured last year , and couldn't recapture his form afterwards , it happens with pro's , dont go on bout ifs buts , just swallow your words !

Rustmonkey i have always stood up for WARD is he LB or a striker if we are confused how does he feel. But then this offers a bigger question if Elokobi gets injured and Ward is LB WHERE IS THE STRIKE FORCE apart from the Hoff who MM seems to think ts the anwser but last season wanted rid if reasonable offer came in would not be here now or do we go with SEB 2 seasons 8 goals if im correct he was great for championship but is he good enough for prem not so sure. If another CH LB or CF it would make things a little bit clearer and Ward might know where he stands and i for one would be more happy for Ward to play CF after his goal on sat just have to convince MM hope this makes some sort of sense.

Oddjob as far as im concerned i have never slated Henry i have only questioned his ability as captain i think i was the first one to say give captains armband to RJ and if what you are now saying about Henrys performance surely that proves i was right after all it did not take MM that long to decide.

The worse prediction of the result I saw on here was a score draw.No pessimism, all optimism. I went to the game and,as I hoped, Samba was out.It was me that questioned wether MM would go 4-4-2 away, NY got it spot on. SB predicted a win by one goal, got the score wrong but the result right,I predicted a Fletch goal.We still need a LB beccause we haven't got a LB.If you read that as a slating of Ward, or not, depends on the reader.
