I did get the impression he likes an underdog to support. But f*** it, we lost anyway, so what difference does it make. Didn't take you lot long to start sounding like the other mob, did it?You won the match and scored three goals, lighten up,ffs!

All4, We need fair referees. It's very important. I can not remember a more inept showing from a referee in all my 45 years of watching City. At least, I hope it was ineptitude and not something more sinister. You tell me the last time a McCarthy team played away at the league leaders and only gave away five fouls all afternoon. It's just unbelievable.

I don't think it was anything sinister,CF.He was whistle happy whenever we went to ground, granted. I don't think Wolves were 'playing for it', though. One of the many things this City squad has got going for it, is the abundance of big,strong players it has. I think we were muscled out of it and the ref was,at times,benevolent towards us.That's as much as i'm conceding.Gizza break, we lost!

Well, MC fans, you should have seen the absymal performance of the referee, who was in charge of our game against Newcastle United. He refused to award us a stonewall penalty in the first half and then didn't overrule a slow-footed linesman, who erroneously disallowed a legitimate goal, ostensibly because the player making the assist was behind the goal-line. It's time to bring in the technology! If rugby, tennis and cricket can do it, why can't soccer move into the 21st. century? After all, there's even more at stake in our sport.

I agree about the technology being used SB, won't hold my breath to see it introduced though. All4 divisions, how do we sound like the other mob? They use the ref as an excuse for losing, we are calling him out for having a poor game after we won. It got to the stage yesterday where I was laughing at his decisions, they were that inept.

Just a bit of banter about the other mob,Bluedub.As SB said, we've had our share of bad decisions against us, but even when we lost to NU I don't remember anyone blaming the ref or linesman for losing the game. Far too many candidates for that honour.It's not as if you were getting penalty appeals turned down, or good goals disallowed yesterday, or that Kompany didn't stop Doyle for our penalty.None of the ref's decisions were match changing, if they had of been, then that's different. Unless you've noticed a pattern of games where the ref was like yesterday's, then it's just one of those matches where the decisions go against.You said yourself you found it funny...so did I.

Cheers mate. I just want to say that my comments are not in any way a dig at Wolves, just disappointed in such a poor refereeing display. Here's a thing, when refs make bad calls on big game changing decisions I have some sympathy for them because it is a tough job and human error happens but when there appears a bias on every 50/50 call I do have a problem as momentum is very important during the course of a game, with a ref making what appear biased calls he's affecting the momentum in the game. I do believe Atwell's performance yesterday needs to be highlighted and some questions asked but I doubt there willbe. Anyway, I'll stop waffling now and wish you luck for the rest of the season, cheers.

I hadn't taken any comments as being anything other than a go at the ref, I genuinely think your big boys were just too strong for our somewhat more diminutive players.The ironic thing is, i'm one of our fans that has had a pop at Doyle for spending too much time on his stomach and he ends up getting a pen for going down under genuine pressure.All the best for the season, don't get a nose bleed that high up, now will you.Would make a change having a team from Manchester win the title, afterall.See you at the Mol!
