not wishing to split hairs, but it's six - Ikeme, Peszco,Sako,Doumbia,Nouble and Batthe, still no excuse, we havn't had a decent defence since Mike Bailey played - I heard a rumour on Facebook that we were going after Lescott on loan? I know and pigs fly - but hey who knows.

We unfortunately seem to be lacking both upfront and at the back. SEB is clearly overweight, Doyle was a passenger and Zubar was a liability. Certainly think we miss Henry in the middle. I like the signings we have made but I am concerned that yet another manager fails to see how poor we are at the back. I appreciate he wants to play a high line but surely you need Lacey defenders to be able to get away with it....something we don't have. The loan market opens in a couple of days so lets hope he uses it to bring in someone new otherwise we could be in trouble.

We do lack a cutting edge up front and we are missing Fletcher but, even so, it would help if the forwards received proper service from the guys behind them. Unfortunately, our midfield is in disarray, having lost Kightly and Jarvis and having only just acquired replacements. Moreover, in Henry we have our one enforcer as Davis has struggled this season. I think the new recruits have class and in time we will sort out this aspect of our game. Players will bed in, will improve their fitness and we will have O'Hara back to pull the strings. But, how many points will we have lost by then? Even worse, any improvement will be to no avail if we do nothing to sort out our woefully inadequate defence. If we do not bring in players who are up to the job, we will never challenge for promotion this year or any other year for that matter. We all slag off JM but is he merely Mr. Morgan's poodle, doing his bidding? If SM genuinely had the interest of the FOOTBALL club at heart rather than viewing it from the perspective of the chairman of a property company that incidentally had a football team as part of its portfolio, he would instantly have made the money available. Why, when it's so glaringly obvious what we lack, why is something not done about it? It's not as though we cannot afford it.

I've said it before and I will have to say it again. Not until we are rid of that defence. It is very well and good replacing Jarvis and Kightly, but equally vital at least was bringing in defenders worthy of the appellation. Georg is apparently not the finished product; I only hope reports about RJ being a rediscovered one is true. I cannot imagine that SS is unaware of this underlying problem. He did try for other more experienced defenders before signing Georg, and we all know what the hitch there was. That puts us on the same track, Southbank. NEWS JUST OUT: TC is gone !! Well, a Norwegian and a Dane now. Forward Norsemen !

Well the only good news following that weekend is that the clown has finally been shown the door. He should have gone when muppet went. I never understand when a right hand man is kept on and asked to run things as he was obviously part of the problem in the first place. He got the job because even the old *****ed up bloke sitting in the corner of the pub jabbering to himself turned the job down. They got their man in the summer and coco should have been gone there and then. Now it is all on the shoulders of the two in charge and whilst that gives some hope the back four negates it. He has walked into a very difficult situation especially considering the timing of the departures. He is not going to perform miracles over night- I hope and expect him to 'have' to bring players in at the back on loan. This manager is saying all the right things, and has a clear vision of what kind of Wolves he wants but unless the sort it out at the back, as we have been saying for how long now? Nothing is going to change. I do wonder how many times he has had to ask them to get rid of Coco. It's done and dusted now though so let's see what happens next.
New York City Wolf
NYCW, when Johan came, he should have replaced TC. Who ever said that there is no more loyalty in football ? Mislaced even, perhaps. The loyalty that is said to be lacking is that of the players, not of the Club, in WW's case at least.
