Hope big George can make a full recovery .... , good result n another clean sheet .............. but I'm sick of people saying Doyle is playing out of his skin , sorry He is there for a goal threat too you know , 1 goal in 7 matches is a pathetic return , Becchio runs his socks off for Leeds but I dont see him with just one goal , He is fortunate the defence is playing well or he would be dropped like a bomb !
Will the Wanderer
will the wanderer you are talking out your rear end, did you go to the match? every time Doyle got the ball there were three/four/five men on him and he had three or four shots, if you look at Doyle's career record he is NOT a prolific scorer! he does work is socks off but people like you won't give him a good word or chance, we ain't hit top form yet and look were we are!
johnwolf
Doyle was outstanding... again.Maybe he didn't look as good on the radio. The thing is, if he keeps on putting in those types of performances then Moyles et al will be sniffing again come January. I was genuinely surprised we didn't lose him in the summer, whether that was down to no firm, sensible bids coming in for him or his desire to stay with us, i'm not sure. Either way, we (and plenty of other clubs) haven't got anyone else who can do what he does.

Well, that's what you get for typing too early in the day. I , of course, meant Moyes (the Everton manager) NOT Moyles (that unfunny sack of s**t of a fake football fan).

John next you will be saying Heskey was awsome too , I am not knocking Doyle's all round play and work ethic , its top notch and the other plays work off it but I'm sorry he IS A STRIKER and his goals return is rubbish , I said before Becchio works even harder than Doyle and bullies centre halves , I've seen him twice and the kid never loses a header , look at his goals return compared to Doyles , I'm sorry but 1 in 7 is woeful , He should be aiming for 20 goals easily , he done it for Reading , call me old fashioned but I thought a strikers role was to score goals , JohnWolf if he had 3/4/5 men around him how come the 3 shots I saw him have he only had one player around him , you numpty , the team performance was decent and another clean sheet , its progressing nicely , so dont think I'm knocking the team as I'm not !
Will the Wanderer
Nice to see some debate on the site. Clearly, my wife is the only person who found my report of the match controversial!

Oh P.S radio , I never take a wireless to the game , I'm 33 not 70 ! , and why would Moyes want him ? , Anichebe Fellaini Mirallas Jelavic Osman Naismith , hmmm doubt Everton want him , they have enough hard working players who score goals too , I know this sounds like I'm knocking Doyle all the time , like all of you say his performances have been great and I have NEVER disputed that , I just think he needs to score goals
Will the Wanderer
Moyes didn't phone me and tell me, so I wouldn't know why he was linked with him. I'd have thought that was obvious.
winstonsmith84
Anyway ODDJOB,what happened to only speaking to people on FB that knew nothing about football, but never argued with anything you say?
winstonsmith84
What you got to bring that up for , just because I dont agree with you on Kevin Doyle , seems I was childish a couple years ago when I was on here and your dragging yourself down to that level ! , I'll hold my hands up and say I was stupid back then , maybe I didn't like everyone on here slagging the manager and club off left right and centre , anyone would think you was Blackburn fans the way the majority of you went on on here , and now I dont agree with one player your knocking me for it , maybe now you know how I felt when I didn't like reading negative rubbish every week ! , I think Doyle needs to score more goals simple as , and if Moyes rated Doyle so highly how come he went and bought another striker for 7m in Mirallas ????
Will the Wanderer
I was one of the posters who criticized MM but was never abusive and always sought to justify my point of view. In turn, I regularly received a load of abuse from fellow-WW supporters. Well, I don't want to dredge up all that unpleasantness now but merely observe that, according to the traffic on WW websites, there is little nostalgia for the days of MM and TC. Clearly, fans have realised how much better off we are under Stole Solbakken.
Southbank60
SB I never bought it up either , someone else bought up the past in an era that should be forgot about and lets just comment on the new regime , I do not want to get into a debate about MM , but we was doomed as soon as Frimpong got injured n Henry got sent off v Villa , anyways I used to trust in Mick but now I trust in Stale ....
