Don't agree.......to accuse anyone of being corrupt is childish and slanderous. If a mistake was made then so be it but I very much doubt anybody goes out to make a mistake. Have you never made a mistake in your life John????? The fact we lost to what is apparently a bad decision is annoying but that's football. I would have taken a draw before the game and it looked like that was gonna happen but at the end of the day we need to be more clinical in front of goal. The second goal was obviously a case of us chasing and getting caught at the back. Roll on January....lets get some new players in and start to become the team we all want. I don't think is gonna happen this year and if I'm honest, I don't think we are ready to go back up anyway so I'm quite relaxed about things at the moment. As long as I can see progress then that'll do me.

I'm as unhappy as anyone with the referee's decision to award Middlesborough a ridiculous penalty yesterday, a mistake compounded by his refusal to grant us a legitimate penalty in the first half. As a result, we lost a point, possibly three. However, these things happen and I would like to focus on the positives. In advance, I thought we might lose the game and before the back-to-back wins we would have surrendered tamely. But, buoyed by our renewed confidence, we made a game of it and were arguably the better team as the match drew to a close. If we can continue to defend so resolutely and find the means to stick the ball in the net, we will be alright. Of course, finding a striker who can score goals consistently is the big question. We had our chances and if we cannot convert them, we're always going to be vulnerable to a dodgy decision or a sudden counter-attack. We kinda make our own bad luck.

a cool headed post after a frustrating result, Rustmonkey. I am inclined to agree with you, unproven manager in the prem with our piecemeal squad could be disastrous (though we are no stranger to calamitous seasons)... My concern is convincing players like Sako to stick around if we dont show premier league aspirations ... UTW !

What Rustmonkey said. On another note, this surely is the worst SPotY, ever! Who are these people? That's a purely rhetorical question, because I don't care who they are and after tonight i'm never going to hear anything about them again. Should have just called it "The Olympics Show". Very, very poor from the Beeb. Very poor indeed.
